Good day, I am in bit of hurry to apply for 07 cycle. I know I am very late, but want to try anyway. I have two questions, can I apply without DAT score (I took a DAT back in August, but lost the score sheet) or I need the score to apply. I have everything except lost score sheet from prometric. Please need advise.....😕

If you remember your scores for all subsections of the DAT, then you can directly fill them into your AADSAS application. Also, be sure to release your scores to all the dental schools you are planning to apply to (5 or more of which you probably paid for when you applied for the DAT).

But. . . hurry up. And also, additional info, Case is probably already booked as are some other dental schools. So be sure to apply to those that aren't booked for interviews yet.

You don't need the score sheet - you can call the DAT testing service directly to have them send your scores to the schools. They can also tell you your scores over the phone.

I would also recommend rounding up all the phone numbers and fax numbers for all the schools that you are applying to. Fax them anything that you are also sending via the post-office. Call them and let them know of your situation and that they should be expecting your application.

Other than that, just pray that your application is stellar enough to earn you top priority.

Call the ADA to have them release you DAT scores to the schools you want to release them to and find out what your scores were so you can fill them in and submit your application.

I was told by schools that they have the ability to download your scores electronically from the ADA. What are your stats, that should determine whether or not you would be wasting money applying.

i couldnt find my score sheet this past summer (i eventually did find it), but i all but begged the people to tell me my scores over the phone and they wouldnt budge, so if you really have no idea what your scores are you'll have to have them send you a copy.

Honestly, do yourself and your wallet a favor and wait until the next application cycle. The DAT scores will be valid for the next couple years. No sense in hoping for February interviews when there are under 10 seats left in most schools.

You don't need your scores on your application. If you remember them, go ahead and put them in. Just make sure that you have prometric send the schools your scores, but it will take 2-3 weeks. They're like your transcripts, you need to send an official copy directly to the dental school (transcripts go to AADSAS, DAT scores go to schools).

If you must, submit as blank, and request personal copy from ADA right away. It takes 2 weeks, by the time it gets to ya, not sure AADSAS will even finished reviewing your transcript yet...it takes them like 4+ weeks to do that. So by 2 weeks later, if they haven't verified yet...meaning they haven't mail it yet, you can still revise it before they mail it.

calm down. it's not too late. interviews continue well into march at many schools. and yes, apply and then send the DAT scores. you should be all right.....


if it makes you feel better, i decided to go to dental school very late and so took the DATs late (december!!!!!) and i got in. just organize things, apply and call them up to make sure that they have application and transcripts. stay on top of things..

As encouraging as that statment is, things have changed=P. we all feel it, the fact is, it is pretty late. good luck finding a school that would even consider your application right now. And if you do find one, let us know, good luck!

i read that UCLA interviews way into march. dont some interview until later?
