I am considering applying to both medical school and pharmacy school. I was wondering if anyone knew if you can apply early decision to both medical and pharmacy school simultaneously and then decide which to attend? For example, if I was fortunate enough to get accpeted to both could I turn one down? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that is possible. Reading the AMCAS page, "...EDP applicants are bound by the following program agreements: (...#4) To attend the school if offered an EDP acceptance."

So it sounds pretty binding to me. I think when you submit an EDP applicaton, you surrender the option not to take an acceptance they give you. As such, trying to leverage EDP applications seems like a pretty good way to get kicked out of multiple professional fields all at once.

I think the EDP only applies to that profession. For example, the EDP med school only applies not applying to other med schools. Same for pharm.

Also, be aware of applying to both med and pharm at the same school. They make compare notes or have the same central processing center. Either way, if they know you are playing both sides you are out of the game.

BTW, I am doing both so I have an idea of what I am talking about....
