Anyone gone thru the Veterans Affairs interview process lately? It's kind of a running joke around my house I have had an application active at the VA for over 2 years. Still waiting on a call...until last Friday when someone did call. I about fell out of my chair!

I call the lady back and in typical VA fashion the angry/bored sounding lazy ass VA employee ask me when I have time for an interview. No pleasantries, no hay how ya doing thanks for calling the VA, nope just that why are you bothering me tone of voice.

So I pick a time for the interview and we get it set up and she says "Oh do you have computer access? This is a phone interview that will be an hour and a half and you need a computer to do the case studies." I am thinking WTF?!?!? Computer to do case studies? Anyone familar with this process?

Are you ready to bail from the PBM world already? That didn't take long!

To answer your question: No, not familiar with this process. Seems...unique.

Almost sounds like you are going on a mini residency interview over the phone, he he.

Good luck! I bet it would be pretty sweet to work at the VA.

The VA is the promise land imo. EMR to be able to look stuff up, no insurance issues, still offer pensions, tons of help to go around. Only thing that stinks is the avg worker mentality of "I'll do it whenever I feel like doing it". It takes FOREVER to get anything done with paperwork because of this

Yep. Took us a week to get badges, and will take my project 3 months to get IRB approved. Things are really slow at the VA. Otherwise it's good.

The badge thing is funny. At our facility, the badge machine goes down constantly so I've been walking around with an expired badge for ages since I've been by there at least 10+ times only to hear "the machine is down..."
