Hi guys, it's been almost a year since my last post: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=672052

I come today with a seemingly simple question that has me stumped. I have searched all the forums and haven't gotten the answer I've been looking for.
I submitted my primary and was verified 2 weeks ago. I received my first secondary request early this week and some more have trickled in. I went on the MSU-COM secondary app online and since I am not technically a permanent resident (pending I-485) they ask me to specify the type of VISA that I am currently under. I came to the US as an F-1, and upon graduation, my VISA has expired. However, since my dad has filed for adjustment of status (AOS in october of 2007), my F-1 does not apply anymore. The website does not have adjustment of status or pending I-485 as an option. Since I other schools will probably ask this same question, I feel like asking on here first before calling each individual school could possibly be more efficient. (~15 phone calls explaining the situation could get a little tiresome, although if I have to, I most definitely will) 😛

In any case, I am a reapplicant this cycle and my application will definitely be complete a lot earlier than last year. (My previous post/thread will give the basics of my application). Since then, I have gotten 7 credits worth of an A (EMT certification) in an accredited school, retook my MCAT and went from a 22M to a 28P (10,9,9), and have signed up for 13 credits for fall during the fall semester (which I am sure will most likely be A's since I will work my butt off)
Would my timing and improvements (I am hoping to be complete at the schools within the next two weeks) give me a decent shot this time around? Also, is being complete end of first week, mid August considered late? or am I right in the middle?

Thanks in advance!

i don't actually have any helpful advice to directly answer your questions, but i think you should email each school rather than call, because with the emails you can keep track of responses and you'll have it in writing if the next person down the line tells you something different.

I think most schools will consider your pending I-485 the same as a green card. Just my $0.02. To be sure, I also think you need to call each school's admission office and find out.
