Why does increasing the temp., we decrease viscosity and surface tension?
 
Well, when the temperature is increased, it causes the molecules at the surface to move around faster. As a result, this calls fro less energy to, say, expand the surface area of a substance. Remember, surface tension= the enrgy required to increase the surface of the liquid. Similarly, by increasing temperature, you are decreasing viscosity because the kinetic energy of fast moving molecules lowers the resistance of a fluid. I hope that helpls. Anybody else, feel free to add more.

Think of it this way, when viscosity is decreased by an increase in tempmerature, fluidity increases as well. So...the liquid assumes the smoothests shape it can. This minimizes the surface area and therefore its surface tension. Does this make better sense now?
 
I thought surface tension-- you are trying to reduce the amount of surface area?? why are you saying inc?
 
Think about an ice cream cone, you havbe a nice big scoop. Imagin a mouse tried to stand on it it can why because the high surface tension which is held together by intermolecular bonds. Now lets say you waited an hour and the ice cream because of heat is now more like a milk shake in the cone- could you place a mouse on it- no the mouse will sink why because the heat causes the molecules to move faster and the intermolecular forces to decrease- aergo the mouse sinks because less surface tension and everything eill try to spread out more becasue it is not held together as much.

hows that for an explanation- listen tzk i hope this will help him because this is basically what you were saying.
