Visible small tattoo on arm

I have a small tattoo above my elbow and it will definitely show if I’m wearing scrubs. I was thinking that I can cover it up with a band-aid, but I might have to invest a lot money on band-aids for the rest of my life. Or I can get laser removal, but it hurts so much and I’ll have to do it serval times to completely get rid of it( also expensive).

Anyone has any suggestions? Plz

Other ideas to cover it are with make-up or clothing. Depending on your school's/clinic's rules you might be able to wear a long sleeved shirt under your scrubs. I know at least one dental school allows its students to wear business formal attire instead of scrubs. Also, typically in clinic the clinician wears a gown over the scrubs and that would cover the area too.
Is the tattoo something inappropriate? If so, then you should definitely cover it up. If it is not inappropriate I would look at your institutions rules on tattoos/student conduct. If it does not specify covering visible tattoos then you might not have to cover it. Some of my dental school classmates had tattoos but I don't think they were that visible with scrubs on (ex. Shoulder, chest/torso, ankle).

I’ve been thinking about getting a sleeve for a while but have been a little hesitant. It hasn’t made a difference?

Thank You! It is not in appropriate, at least I don’t think so. It’s just a word I got to give me some motivation. Also, will having a tattoo makes it harder to find a job? I know mine dentist wouldn’t want someone with a tattoo working in his clinic.

Dont sweat it, a lot of people have tattoos in graduate school, if its a problem you can wear a dri fit sleeve on one arm. But little tattoos arent too big of a deal in my opinion. I wouldnt worry about it until it comes up. That being said it would be smart to cover up for job interviews and cover up in a clinical setting.

edit: Ive seen a ton of people in the past talk down on tattoos and make it such a big deal, the reality is when you walk around campus you will see a lot of people with tattoos among multiple graduate health professional programs.

Haven't been to dental school yet but from my other grad school I'd say tattoos aren't a problem in school but it might be an issue when you start working afterwards. Medical professionals lose credibility points just for having a tattoo. That's my opinion!

Nope, I've gotten more compliments on it than anything else. If people don't like it, that's their problem. Life is too short to hold back on doing things you want to do.

Am not against them, but I'd like to say the day you'd think it's okay for respectable lawyers, politicians, and professors to be walking around with visible tattoos in the workplace is the day medical professionals would show tattoos and have no judgments thrown against them. That day will come but it isn't here yet.

We've definitely made strides over the last 10 years.
