I am applying to a public school out of state, which I know is a long shot, but its my dream school. I will be pretty close to campus during July, would it be smart to go and talk to their admissions office? If so, who should I try and speak with and what should I try and speak with them about to help better my chances?

Thanks!

don't show up....you can send them an email ahead of time and let them know you'd be in the area and you'd love to meet them if they have time....they'll let you know if they want to see you

The odds that they will welcome your visit are small but you can call ahead to see how they respond.
