Visiting rotation in pain?

I'm a CA-1 at a well-regarded anesthesia program with a below-average pain program. I'd like to get a better educational pain experience, as well as provide myself with an opportunity to be known at a stronger program that I might like to get into. Is this done often? My pd says that if I can do all the leg work, I'm welcome to go if they'll have me. Anyone know of a program that would welcome outside rotators? I'm especially interested in any strong programs in the west or south. Thanks for help.
