Does anybody know anything about the VIVA exams that they take in europe. I know that it is the equivalent of our oral board exam, but i have a cousin going into anesthesia there and I was just curious what they should expect.

Any insight from foreign trained anesthesiologists would be HIGHLY welcome!

they're not too different from the American version. At it's heart.
Their Final Exam, the "Final FRC" (for the UK) has a "written section" and a "structured oral" section. To get to the orals, you have to pass the written part first. In this way it's like our written and oral exams.

The way they are structured is very different, and as with any exam, preparing to take the exam, not just study for the material, is important.
