In the past (with face to face interviews) if you made it to an interview and didn't get in your were on the waitlist (for the most part).... now with COVID and how they used CASPer, I don't think anyone really knows
 
Does anyone know how many people are waitlisted? Also what number they pulled off the wait list last year?

3rd time in state denied... not quite sure what to do from here, I have tried everything from improving grades (i meet the requirements) to doing 200 hours of research and to completing a masters... I almost wish this was a mistake but I am certain it is not.
 
first time oos alternate ): second time applying to vet schools in general... super scared

I was doing some searching on last year's forum and they said that they invited about 165 OOS to interview, accepted 40 and waitlisted the rest. I know there were no interviews but it's probably safe to assume the OOS waitlist is about 100-125. OOS waitlist moves more than IS and it really depends on how many people accepted and waitlisted decline. A lot of schools cite the movement being around 30-40 spots but it varies.
 
OOS alternate here as well! Third time applying, last time I was waitlisted to interview. I'm definitely curious to hear how many other alternates there are/ what the chances are! (I applied to 10 total schools, but this has always been one of my top choices so it's a little disappointing)
 
are people still getting emails? I haven’t heard anything yet and am getting worried 😂😂
 
For MD-IS they pulled 12 last year, but that was more than usual.

OOS alternate. Looks like a lot of alternates, did no one get OOS rejection? Mine was also in the spam folder for anyone else wondering.
 
IS (Maryland, not Virginia) Alternate
 
Yea I mean for me I’ve been accepted to Midwestern, but was still hoping for Vtech before I make the commitment (housing application opens tomorrow for on campus housing- with answers in March , so if I get that I’ll have to make a commitment and sign that contract without knowing my alternate #).

I am really disappointed, I felt that I was pretty competitive and it was my IS school, and I already got rejected from Davis and heard nothing from any other school. I honestly didn't care about my rejection to Davis, because it's Davis, but this one hurts (first time applicant, I know I'll get used to it).

It's such a crap shoot, don't lose hope yet! You don't know which school will see something great in you and it only takes one yes! Keep the faith, it's not over til it's over *hugs*

If you have gmail mine went to “promotions” so maybe check all folders? If still nothing then I would call!
