Hi guys!
I volunteered at an orphanage and nursing home in Syria, but it might be hard for me to call to find the person in charge overseas, especially because it was not really a formal program (though it gave me IMMENSELY valuable experience)
I know this question has been asked before, and people have answered saying documentation is not needed but that the admission committee may call (who do they call, by the way?). I don't have a phone number for the person (though maybe if I called my aunt who lives in Syria she can do some looking and find it), so what should I do? Is this something to worry about or no big deal?

In last year's AMCAS application, you just provided a contact name and title while you're completing an entry in the "Experience" section. There was no space to provide a phone number or an email address. Not sure if they changed it this year....
Did you have a supervisor?

Edit: here's the link on changes to AMCAS, provided by LizzyM: http://depts.washington.edu/prehlth/?p=118
It just says contact information will be "required." Still not sure what that means.... I would call your aunt and have her try and locate someone who remembers you volunteering at the orphanage.
