Hey everyone! I am looking to increase my volunteerism, but I am having difficulty finding opportunities that do not interfere with my work hours (standard business hours). Looking for recommendations for any unique opportunities I may not be aware of that would accommodate this schedule. Thank you so much!

I have also had this issue and I feel your pain! The hospital I volunteer at has 6-9am volunteer shifts, which are brutal but get the job done. For nonclinical opportunities, start with what you're interested in doing and see what you can make work. There are definitely organizations out there that have volunteer opportunities on weekends. If you truly can't find any opportunities outside of normal business hours, it's worth asking your boss if you could come to work late and/or leave early once a week to volunteer and make up the hours at some other time.

It is definitely a common challenge I see a lot of people facing. But thank you for your advice, and I will continue the search or request work adjustments. 🙂

Tutoring high school equivalency for adults at night. Many public libraries have programs for this.
