Hi guys,
I wasn’t sure if this would be beneficial to put on my application. I’m just wanting to try and gauge how many clinical volunteering hours I’ll have. So basically this summer (summer after freshman year college) a local family practice clinic gave me the opportunity to do volunteer scribing with a doctor. It was volunteer because with COVID there was a freeze on hiring employees. I did about 5-6 weeks over the course of June-July and did usually 3-5 days per week working in the morning 8-12. I got about ~65 hours total for the summer. Would this be good for my app? The reason I ask is I know usually as a scribe you get 200-300 hours for paid employment during the summer, which I didn’t get even over 100 but it was still a unique opportunity I think. I also plan to work as a paid scribe next summer.
