nope, volunteer at whichever hospital is nearest you. Adcoms just want to see that you had clinical experience.

I've had better reception volunteering at a university hospital in terms of emergency medicine, it's closer to downtown so it's a much faster paced ED so you have to perform bed turnovers much faster.

But at the end you just need clinical experience helping patients.
