Okay so this is my first thread on here! Im 16 and ever since I was little I have wanted to be a vet. I've had over 150+ volunteering at my local humane society and am now looking to volunteer at a vets clinic! One of my good friends from when I was younger has a dad who is a vet. This past summer I went by there to talk to him about volunteering but I caught him as he was leaving on his lunch break. He told me to make an appointment to meet with him. However, I got busy and never got around to it. Im thinking about going by there tomorrow and talking about Atleast making an appointment to volunteering at his clinic! How should I bring the idea up? I was thinking about going by tomorrow and telling his secretary that I came by in the summer looking to volunteer and I was told to make an appointment with the vet, but I never got around to it and was hoping I could make that appointment today! Any other suggestions on how I should say this or any other things I should do or keep in mind when I go? Can anyone tell me what to expect once I do start volunteering, if I do? Any fast responses would be greatly appreciated!!

Is there anything I should bring with me or anything specific I should mention? It's also more of a shadowing type thing too, not strictly volunteering, although I'd love to do both!

This would probably be better to have in the pre-vet forum. We're a lot more active over there and a lot more people would be able to give advice. With that being said, you should use the search function first (in that forum) because this has been asked and answered many times before.
