Okay, I have over 100+ Hours of volunteering in the health related field.

Do you think it is bad that I am volunteering in areas such as the neurology section at St. David's? Or Volunteering as a Nursing assistant?? I haven't really volunteered anything dental related yet.. but I heard shadowing will overcome that. Please let me know what are your thoughts! Thanks!

Volunteering is never bad, nor are you expected to volunteer in something dental related.

What you should be prepared to do is, explain what your volunteering experiences were like, why you did those in particular, etc, everyone should be prepared for this no matter what they volunteered doing. I had one interviewer specifically dig :meanie: into my tree planting volunteer activities, I think we talked about it for a good 5 or 10 minutes.

You have the right idea regarding shadowing dentists, it´s not only recommended, but required by various schools. Shadowing will certainly show that you´ve investigated dentistry, and were not simply checking out different health professions through your volunteering endeavors (though I wouldn´t be shocked if someone asked you somethig along those lines, something to be prepared for as well).
