I already have about 120 hours of hospital volunteering--fortunately, 100% of all those hours have been clinical experience (patient wheelchair escort).

I did that a while ago for a duration of 1 academic school year + 1/2 summer. Now, I'm at a new hospital and just started volunteering. Unfortunately, they have do not have volunteer positions that will allow me to gain patient interaction/clinical experience. I am being forced to stock cans in pantries and supplies in nursing stations.

I hope to continue volunteering at my new hospital for a whole year and I expect to have a total of 250 hours (old + new hospital hours).

My question is, despite having 250+ hours (eventually), is it bad that only 120 of those hours were clinical and the rest were just standard volunteering? There's nothing at the hospital that will allow me to handle/physically interact with patients.

I can't volunteer at the previous hospital because I graduated and moved back home (school and home are in different states).

100 hours is enough in one setting really, why not just volunteer at a clinic or hospice or something?

So, the 120 hours of clinical experience is enough?

I'm not worried about the volunteering hours, since I'll accumulate a lot of hours over 12 months.

If my clinical experience is enough, then I'll just keep volunteering at the hospital (since I love the environment) but in a more productive position, although it will still be non-clinical.
