Hey, I had the opportunity to volunteer at one of the dental schools I will be applying to over the winter semester. However, I chose to do something else with the time instead. I was just about to e-mail the dentist that set it up for me to ask if I could do the volunteering this summer now that the hectic winter semester is over. I then realized that I was assuming something that might not be true. Does a dental school normally operate during the summer? Is there any reasonable chance that they would need volunteers? I'll probably just ask the dentist anyway, but I thought I'd drop the question here first.

Most dental schools operate during the summer (though they take longer breaks). Even though class may not be in session many clinics still run with faculty and volunteers.
