Volunteering during the weekends?

I have class Mon-Fri from 9-5, so I have no way to volunteer during the week. And after doing some research, it appears most volunteer organizations are closed on the weekends. Does anyone know of any places to volunteer that are usually open on the weekends?

Our food bank has hours after 5 and on weekends, so you can check your local one. Also, check for free weekend clinics.

Some schools have programs set up already. I know that when I was in undergrad, I just had to sign up, and a group of us went to tutor for an hour or two. That was a special program because it was a homeless shelter, but I imagine there could be different set-ups in your location.
