So 2 questions. 1) I volunteered at my middle school about 2.5 years ago while I was a college freshman. My sister's program required a parent (family member) to volunteer 20 hrs a year. During days off I volunteered about 30. Volunteering was mostly helping set up the lab, and other things the science teacher needed help with. Would this be worth mentioning at all? I don't want to put in stuff for the sake of putting it in, and since it was required, it feels like cheating. I already have 170ish hospital ED hours and 50ish with my city's waste management.
2) I just started volunteering at another hospital ED, different enough to distinguish from other hospital. Would I just lump these together under clinical volunteering, or keep separate? I already have 9 activities, so there is room, but it's a new activity.

If you got anything meaningful out of it, put it in the activities section and talk about it.

Include it. I'm assuming it wasn't required of you because someone else in the family could have done it. It's generous of you in general. Not that ADCOM's have a way of knowing that and it would look good on an app. But if morals are your limiting factor here, you shouldn't be concerned about it.

Outside of lunch with the teachers, no. I see where you're coming from, but I was under the impression that I should volunteer for volunteering's sake, not necessarily to get anything meaningful out of it.

Yes, it wasn't required of me. I was sort of thinking how would they know unless I mention it. I was also thinking it wasn't too long of an experience (several weeks), not much to say, but not everything needs a page explanation. Guess I can say it was to help middle school kids. Thanks.
