Hi I have a quick question. I have been volunteering at the front desk at a private practice for about 180hours now and shadowed the dentist there in the back for around 40hours. I am just wondering if my volunteering there is even considered volunteering since I just read some old threads saying that volunteering at a private practice isn't true volunteering since they aren't taking low income patients like a free dental clinic. I'm pretty much panicking right now because I am applying next cycle and didn't even think about this. Will adcomms question my volunteering there?

I volunteered at a private pharmacy as a technician. I counted it for volunteer but took off some hours.

It is still volunteering. You are not paid, it just isn't a community organization, but pharmacies still do community work.

I'd count it all as volunteer, put in the description what each was. Make sure the desk work is on different list than the shadowing itself.
