Do people usually get profession portraits taken for VSAS?

Also, once certified, can changes be made to the CV. For instance, what if a paper gets published or a poster gets accepted?

I wouldn't waste your time and more importantly, your money on professional portraits for VSAS. Just have a friend take a photo of you dressed professionally.

If you have something new published, I doubt it would really make a difference as far as whether or not you get picked for an away rotation. In fact, emailing people and telling them might be more of a nuisance than it is worth.
