This may seem like a very common sense question but I just was not sure.

Can I apply multiple times through VSAS?

For example, I would like to apply when institution X opens up their app so that I can get my application in earliest.

But institution Y opens up their app a month later. Can I apply through VSAS again a month later?

Can I apply multiple times.. Or do I have to add all of them and send it all in at once?

I've never used VSAS but it seems insane if I have to add all school at once and apply to all of them at once.

But I wasn't sure..?

Most schools don't open up at the same time. You have to look to see when they accept applications. Some programs are already open and have been since VSAS opened in January, some don't even open until May with everything in between. You fill out the VSAS information and apply as needed. Sometimes people will apply to multiple places for the same time frame (common in EM, not sure about other specialties) due to competitiveness of obtaining one. You should start looking when the places you're interested in open up their applications.
