I realize that if one takes a chemistry course and recieves a C, he can take the course again. Of course, AMCAS will average in both grades. However, what if one were to withdraw from the course. Is there an 'averagin' factor, or is it simply a W with the grade you recieved the second time around, next to it.

NYU's premedical studies site tells us that a W or a P/F is factored in as a C-, but I'm pretty skeptical about that.

Thx guys, that's great success. Time for Chem and Physics, all in one semester next year. Problem is, I cannot get anything less than an A- in both classes. I find it interesting how a lot of persons on this website have 35+ Mcat's and only 5% of test takers achieve that kind of success. Are they all on this board? Anyone here take Chem and Physics in one semester, if so, any tips, what did you get?

i took statistical mechanic (upper level physics) and biophysical chemistry (graduate chem) in one semester, does that count and i did okay.

That is plenty doable. Just have to be good with time management. You'll be much more overloaded once medschool hits. I am taking the entire premed course load in 2 regular semesters and a summer....The key is just to stay sane and take your time....
