'W' in community college class

in order to kill time before d-school starts, i'm currently taking some JC classes for fun (speech, communication, and some music classes).

i forgot to drop from one of the classes and the deadline for dropping passed, which leaves me with a 'W' on my JC transcript. will this affect me in any way in the future? i've already been accepted to dschool, but i was wondering if it could affect me if i decided to pursue a specialty or something? thanks!
