Hey everyone,

I was accepted into a dental school in Feb. and I have been waitlisted at another school. It's my last semester as undergrad and I'm taking comparative animal physiology which isn't required by my undergrad school or the dental school. I think I'll end up with a B at best if I try from now on till the end of the semester but I really am not up for it.. Would dental schools deny my acceptance if I drop this course and get a W? Should i just stick with it and get a B/C?

I would call the school and ask... They can tell you for sure. Let them know what your situation is and I am sure they will give you an answer. Really only two answers they can give you:
1. don't take the W and pass the class (doesn't matter if you get an A or not because you are accepted. It may lower your gpa slightly but they won't care as long as you don't fail)
2. Take the W because it won't affect your acceptance

👍

Thank you!

I just contacted the office of admissions about it via email.
Hopefully, I'll hear back from them soon!

I was curious about this too (taking a neurobio course..thought it was interesting at first but it is a lot of useless busy work). When they give you a response would you mind posting an update 😉.

Remember that each school may have a different oppinion... Unless, you two are going to the same school I would calll and ask so that you can be positive. 👍

They (MWU-IL) said it's fine so I withdrew from the course.
