Hey, I am really torn. I am a sophomore 4.0 Molecular Biology major. I took a 1 credit Piano course amidst a big load of major related courses.

Unfortunately, the Piano class is demanding beyond reason. Because of this, I am unable to prepare enough for the class and continually receive low Bs for grades. However, this is after a lot of practicing. I know the level the teacher requires and know that the only way to achieve that level of mastery would mean spending more time on it than I can afford. This is putting a lot of strain on my ability to maintain As in my other classes.

I am well aware of the negative stigma that Med Schools place on Ws, but I feel like this is one of my only options. Not only does it save my GPA (something that I know I shouldn't be too concerned about doing in this case), but it also takes a huge load off of me.

I am wondering if anyone could share how they think a W would look in this case. Thanks for any help.

Withdraw. One W doesn't mean anything.
