W on transcript

How negatively is a W on the transcript viewed? I already took one, so it's not going away. I withdrew because I took too heavy of a course load and was in danger of getting a C/C-. The class is not a prerequisite for dental school.

As long as there aren't a lot you should be good. I had one W on my transcript and was accepted at one school and offered an interview at another (that I declined) while still waiting to hear back from a third. During my one interview the W never even came up

Yeah, you're fine. I had a W on my transcript from dropping OC I the first time I took it. I got an A the second time I tried it, and I was never asked about it in any of my interviews.

I had one W and a couple of Cs. I got into 4 schools.

You can have multiple W's as long as you have legit reasons you are withdrawing.
