So this is my problem. I was supposed to go to University in fall of 2011, and i did not attend a university then. So now im out of school, and i have the option of starting community college now, and doing around 3 years at a community college, (takes around 3 years for a bio or engineer major to transfer from a california community college to a University of California, because you must finish all GE's, and all prereqs before attending if youre a transfer), then going to a UC, or waiting a year, and then going to a university. It would literally mean 11 months before i go to school again if i wait to go to a university. What would you guys do? Please help me, im really really lost right now.

I attended UCSD and met many people who transferred from CC within 2 years. It's a good route. But you have to keep in mind that some dental schools don't accept pre-reqs that are completed in CC.

Your career options are still open to change, so I would probably go to CC and get a head start and discover what you want to do.

I did CC for 2 years first. You just can't apply to BU, Tufts, or Temple. Thats what... 3 out of like 50 schools? You'll be fine. Just kill the CC and make sure you keep your grades at the SAME level, if not higher, when you transfer to the uni.

I kept a 3.6 at the CC and then got a 3.8 at the uni and now have 8 interviews
