Hi. So I am a Canadian that applied to 15 US medical schools. I submitted my AMCAS primary (w/ all my transcripts and LORs received) on July 1st. Also, I wrote the MCAT on June 20th and will be receiving the results on July 23rd. However, I am NOT feeling confident about the results (thinking ~28).

Given my situation, do you think it is beneficial to submit my secondaries ASAP upon receiving them? Or is it more wise to wait until I receive the results for my MCAT score THEN submit the secondaries?

I am asking because the $$$ are starting to add up after submitting a few secondaries. I am also wondering if submitting my secondaries now would even make a difference given that I do not receive my MCAT scores until July 23rd.

I would wait until you get your score before you submit secondaries to save the money. Go ahead and prewrite them if you have time so you can submit right after you get your score but you don't want to submit a bunch of secondaries then find out you wasted all your money because the MCAT didn't go as well as you wanted.

Schools won't look at your application until they have everything, including the MCAT, so you aren't going to miss much by waiting.

Wait for MCAT scores.
