Basically every day in this thread:

Gyngyn posts movement in the morning
SDNer 1: Hey can you check X School?
Gyngyn: I didn't see any movement; I'll post what I see tomorrow in the AM post
SDNer 2: Hey can you check Y School?
Gyngyn: I didn't see any movement; I'll post what I see tomorrow in the AM post

It's a never-ending cycle...I vote Gyngyn #1 MVP

I think he has "I'll post what I see tomorrow in the AM post" as a hot key now.

Same here but be sure to check deadlines for applications for post-bacc! I know one school I'm looking at has applications due by June 1st but they have rolling so they say they may fill their class even before the deadline.

No worries 🙂. I'm actually just 7 classes shy of a BS in biology at my local university, after completing all of my med school pre reqs. It's not an official post-bac program, just a second undergrad degree for me. I already met with an advisor, and since my first degree (a BA in Spanish) was completed there years ago, the whole process is going rather smoothly!

Sounds great!! Best of luck 🙂

That's kind of what I did but it was a BA in bio and I already had a BS in psych.

@gyngyn so does that mean that schools like NYMC and the others you mentioned believe that the students would pick their school over your school....since they can clearly see that they have already been accepted to your school and still choose to give them an acceptance?
Each school has their own special way of handling the waitlist.
Other schools cannot see our waitlist, but we can see new acceptances on our waitlist.

Are those confirmed acceptances via AMCAS or do you also include "we made an offer to a student holding at X, so X will have to use the WL soon" acceptances?

Also, on your end, do you see offers made to applicants on your waitlist? I feel like you would need the extra information to be able to see a large (5+) cascade.
I do not project acceptances, I only report them.
All schools can see offers made to their waitlisted candidates (as well as to accepted students).

Thank you so much for your answer. I apologize for the redundancy of the second question - I found it in an earlier part of the thread.

Just discovered this thread so I've been missing all the fun lol. I apologize if this has already been addressed but does anyone have any information on UNC's wait list? Thanks in advance!

The quickest way to find an answer to the school you're inquiring about is the search function. I feel like this needs to be stickied. I don't mean to be that guy but c'mon friends we're all smart future doctors.

This isn't directed at any one person!

Is this year or last year the year they decided to push the multiple acceptance deadline to April 30th?

In Texas news: since I posted on May 7, this is what I found by looking at all the Texas threads and TMSDAS WL thread:
2 were accepted to UTRGV from the wait-list (which means 2 UTRGV students probably left their spots for a different offer)
2 were accepted to Texas A&M from the wait-list and 1 withdrew from their spot
1 withdrew from their accepted spot at UTMB Galveston
I was expecting to see a lot more news this week, but maybe people just aren't posting their news 😛
Here's to finals week and more waiting 🙂

If you accept a spot off a waitlist, then get another offer from a waitlist, are you allowed to withdraw from the first waitlist offer you accepted? Thanks for your help everyone!

Yeah but they aren't going to give you your deposit back

Thanks for your reply. Can you confirm how you know this? I was just nervous that if I accept this acceptance off the waitlist from a school that I wouldn't be able to accept an acceptance off the waitlist from my top choice if they choose to offer me one as well. Also, do you know if accepting the first offer would make the second school less likely to of offering me a spot?

Thanks for your help!

Have you been accepted somewhere, but prefer the school which offered you a spot from the wait-list? If they gave you some deadline by which you must respond, as you approach the deadline you need to accept or they will pass you by. I have seen one current Texas applicant who took one WL offer then jumped to another WL offer within a week, so I know it can be done. I am interested to see what @gyngyn will comment on this.

@gyngyn How much overlap do you have with Rochester? Thanks for doing this! 🙂

Thanks- I did see that. I'm just trying to gauge whether little movement on gyngyn's end = little actual movement.

You may continue to accept waitlist positions until orientation starts at the school where you last accepted an offer.
