Wait Listed

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You are put on a list with other candidates who will wait for an acceptance seat to open up.

Chances of getting in usually aren't all that great...but its better than an rejection.

After you are interviewed, the admissions committee members meet to discuss your application. The applicants with the best applications and interview skills are accepted. The applicants with poor applications are rejected. If you have a decent application, but not as good as those accepted, you are put on a waitlist. If some of the accepted students decline their acceptance, they will take someone off the waitlist and offer them the spot.

Your name's on a list and you gotta wait. LOL.

And at school's like Tufts, you have a pretty good chance (better than most schools) of getting off the waitlist due to it being the most expensive school in the country.

it means hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Perhaps the OP is asking a philosophical question. . . 🙂

That's what I thought. But I also think that perhaps the OP should be more specific.
