My GPA and MCAT (projected, anyway) are excellent. I'm talking >3.9 + >34ish judging by the 3 practice tests I've taken thus far. Academic institution isn't the most prestigious.

But my ECs are lacking.

I am doing research (for about 5 months now), but I will not be published until next year (1-2 papers, co-authored... maybe 1 minor paper as a first author).

I have done ER volunteering, but that was 1 summer (~130hrs).

I have done shadowing also ~30hrs, spread out over 1 summer.

I've tutored for about 1 year now ~8hrs / week.

Should I skip this cycle, and improve my ECs over senior year? My biggest weakness is that I did just about nothing freshman and sophomore years.
