Does anyone have any perspective on the turnover time between secondary submission and news of interview invite? I received emails a few weeks ago that schools had received my secondary and were "reviewing" . . . and I guess I'm just nervous/impatient/eager/excited and was wondering if the wait implies bad news - - should I change my essays for the apps I haven't yet finished yet, or can nothing really be inferred??

lol, thanks! guess the interview thread just sounded some false alarms! no worries (yet) for all those uninterviewed applicants out there

both Umich ones are from on-campus students. I sent out my first secondary last week. Stop worrying! 🙂

You shouldn't worry at all. Gotta stay positive and confident, even if you don't get interviews for a while. Some schools are just slower than others.

Worrying never accomplishes anything, anyway.

That makes me feel a lot better because I've been sitting on my secondaries for at least a month now and I've only turned in a couple. The ironic thing is that it's taking me so long because I spend waay too much time in lab!

stillsmilin, try not to get too worked up...you're making me nervous!

Yeah, I got like 1 done (Umich), while I was working in the lab. Now that I'm taking a break, I've managed to finish up 10/12 🙂 (Harvard does theirs in September and UChicago is just too much to write).

Let's just say I have more reminders of encouragement (deadline threats) than secondaries done right now!

10/12?? that's pretty good...I'm closer to 5/19 😀

i wouldnt worry too much. since i work as a nurse right now i have some extra time after work to do the secondaries.

im 22/23 so far. one more to go (need to get it first -- come to think of it, has anyone gotten Mt. Sinai's secondary?)

Jeez, 19 and 23 schools. I couldn't handle that many secondaries, not to mention the cost.
