Waiting on any news from two schools. What should I do?

Just curious as to people's thoughts/experiences. I am a double major business student in management and finance while getting all of my predental stuff done in four years. I have about 150 undergrad credits with a 3.63 sgpa and 3.81 gpa. I also worked 30 hours a week during all of this as well. I have a 20AA on the DAT and had four interviews this past cycle. So far I have heard nothing from three of these schools and have been rejected by one.

What should I do? Should I start preparing for next cycle and give up hope on this one? I have to retake the DAT no matter what. Should I take/retake some more science classes to boost my sgpa or should I pursue an MBA to make myself look more competitive?

Curious for any thoughts/ advice!

Should I work on my interview skills? I work in customer service and am pretty comfortable in front of people. I felt I was very genuine. I have over 150 hours of shadowing as well as good extracurriculars.

I took it back in 2018. It only lasts for two years.

Honestly, it’s just luck. Not everyone with your stats has the luxury of getting accepted right away sadly.

Yeah. Im just kind of frustrated. I feel like they waved me off because I am a business student.

Same situation! Business student with the same DAT score. Waiting on decisions for 2 schools as well.

I'm no expert but I don't think a MBA would help much especially considering the cost of getting one. I'm waiting on Colorado and Touro.

My school offers one for $12K total. I would think doing a masters would help though? Im waiting on Colorado and Case.

A science masters would help (SMP), not a Masters in Business Administration. You need to prove to schools that you can handle a rigorous science-based curriculum, as your majors were not science and you likely took just the pre-reqs needed for dental school.

I'd send a letter of intent out to one of those two and start preparing to reapply.

I would just wait it out. It’s still far too early to be excluding yourself from these schools. You don’t need to get a masters, that’s for sure.
