Same here I have to cut out 1000 characters from my personal statement... I have been working on this personal statement for over a year... is that crazy or what?!

my app finally got processed last week. is everything done in aacomas?
Like MCAT official scores, GPA clac'd, etc.

Mine took two days then was revised over the course of two weeks, and I felt that it was still excessive.

I'm still waiting too. Transcripts recieved on 7/27 or 28. Not liking this waiting. I tried calling them at 2:30 EST today, and got a recording saying the offces were closed, and their office hours are Mon-Fri, 9 am to 4:30 pm EST. Um.. hello? So then why did nobody pick up the damn phone????

just to give you guys some idea of turn around time...i submitted july 15th and my app was mailed to all the schools on august 12th.

when did you submit? I submitted on the 21st but they didn't post that they'd received my dinero till the 29, and since we're not supposed to call them till 4 weeks later, i've been oh so patiently awaiting the 21st of august . . .
maybe not that patiently.

Wow, you think this wait is bad? Wait till you submit your secondaries and are waiting for an interview or worse yet, wait till you get on the waitlist and then you wait for 4 months to find out if you made it into the school. The timeline is a month after submission, let it happen

I was on hold for interviews at about 10 schools last year, but then around April, I got a whole bunch of letters saying the class was full adn I'm being released from consideration. Course, they were all MD schools, but I didn't apply DO last year although I tried, but I had some transcript issues last year.
That pre interview hold is the worst. It's like saying we don't think you're good enough for us right now, but if we don't find anybody better, we'll talk to you.
I feel like my life has been reduced to refreshing the aacomas website hoping that they updated the GPA calculation.
I'm sure it will get worse when I get around to sending secondaries 🙁

i feel like i just got my grades for the semester back - and did better than expected!
submitted 7/21, gpa calc 8/16, mailed?
yes, yes, i know, interview waiting is going to suck! but, at least those automatic secondaries will keep me busy!
EDIT: So, when I reviewed everyone else's posts, I realized that everything is usually sent out on Saturdays . . . so, while i take the mcat, my application will be sent out into the world of ADCOM . . . could i feel a little more exposed?

Can't take this anymore haha... I know I'm going to get a barrage of secondaries once these are sent out bc my AMCAS and AACOMAS applications will probably be verified within the same week 🙁 It'll be like a swift kick to the nuts, but I just want to get it over with so that I can get all of my secondaries in before my committee letter is sent out late September...
I'll keep you guys posted!

Sorry to respond so late...I submitted on 7/19, received my money 7/19, received transcript 7/25, GPA calculated on 8/11. However, when i clicked Designations, it saids that they were mailed out on 8/12 and under mailing status it said "new" (no idea what that means, does anyone??)

I knew ohio is automatic for me since i'm instate. A number of other schools list on their website that you will automatically recieve a secondary if you have a certain GPA or MCAT minimum - some of which i know i already meet. examples include DMU - GPA 2.75. I made a list somewhere, after saturday i could PM it to you. I'm concentrating on a last minute review right now 🙂
