Waitlist and Financial Aid

If you get pulled off a waitlist, do they tell you what your financial package will be before expecting you to accept or decline? Or do you have to say yes before they show you their financial package? The former makes more sense to me but never having been in this position, I am not sure. Does anyone have insight on this?

I was also wondering if you file fin aid forms when you get put on a waitlist, or after you come off (if you're so lucky).

i got into wake (where i am a 4th year) off the wait list -- i had filed all paperwork in advance which is what you are supposed to do. i believe the financial aid offer was in the envelope with the letter of acceptance.
