I am curious. What would you rather have.... a waitlist notification, or a flat out rejection.

I think I am leaning toward an outright rejection since this waitlist thing is killing me. I start wondering what my place is on these waitlists and assuming the worst!!!!! I would like to have a clear answer such as... You are 10th on the waitlist, or you dont' have a chance rather than we will just string you along for a while.

Anyone else out there feel the same way?

lol. yeah, I go back and forth on this issue. I was WLed at all 5 schools I interviewed at. I sort of wish that they were just rejections that way I could go on with my life. But who am I kidding, no matter how tortuous the wait may be getting that call in June, July...maybe even August (though that would sorta suck in its own right) will be worth it, right?? At least I keep telling myself that while I am trying to be patient and wait.😀 😀

I think that I would rather have the waitlist. At least with a waitlist, you still have some hope for acceptance, though it may be a slim chance.

I do wish the schools would give people a better indication of where they stand and what their chances are of being removed from a waitlist. This waiting is hard to deal with.

Nah. I changed my mind.

Waitlist me under the following conditions:

1. The people holding multiple acceptances decide where they want to go NOW. Stop holding them for "financial aid purposes." It isn't gonna be that good.

2. They tell me my exact rank and how many got in last year.

Is this too much to ask?
