Hey, this may be a stupid question but here goes:

I am currently holding a position at a medical school, I've sent in my deposit, etc. I am waitlisted at my top-choice school. If I am accepted off the waitlist after May 15th, what happens with the other school? Do I just lose my deposit or is there usually some additional charge?

Again, sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm just not sure how this works.

Thanks!

Ok, you can hold the acceptance at school A as long as you need to. If school B accepts you off the waitlist after May 15 and you go there, you lose the deposit at school A but there are no further ill consequences. You still have to pay all fees associated with enrolling at school B (obviously), but that should be it.
