I'm on the waitlist for 3 schools (USC, MWU-AZ, Roseman) and have 0 acceptances. I applied in early June, and at this point am getting pretty anxious/frustrated with this waiting game. Does anyone have any insight on whether I should be planning for reapplication or if I should just sit tight for a while longer? Should I send more letters of recommendation to the schools (submitted 3 LoRs originally through AADSAS)? Letters of intent? Stats are in signature. Thanks for your help.

It doesn't hurt to send the schools any academic updates or even what you have accomplished recently. If you don't mind me asking, since you applied early, when did you interview for USC, MWU-AZ, and Roseman? Did you try calling for an application status update since your interview?

I would hang on tight until February 16, because some schools send out acceptances February 1 and the applicants have 15 days to pay their deposit. However, those who pay their deposit doesn't necessarily mean they are committed to stay. There are some applicants who get acceptances the week before class starts which is highly improbable. Personally, my last straw is around the first week of April or even May. Let me know what you think.

Did you get an official Roseman waitlist and did you do their homework after the interview?

Didn't receive a waitlist email from them, just assumed that I was on some unofficial waitlist since I interviewed on 9/30. I did the homework. Did you get a waitlist email?

USC: 11/16
MWU: 9/12
Roseman: 9/30
I tried calling the schools and they all told me that I just have to wait. I guess April makes sense since it's when schools can see where people have put down deposits. It's just really frustrating to not be able to plan for your future.

Nope. I asked and they gave me the same answer as you. Haha, yeah I did that homework too. Beautiful area. I felt like I was in a painting with those surreal mountains in the backdrop.

It's tough. Especially when it takes time to adequately prepare for such a big move. Hope you'll hear soon!

@DMDDDSHopeful has a good point, you have to call for an official application status update.

Sounds like you just have to wait for a decision. I would just take my mind off for now and check your email once a week.

I was in the same position as you last cycle with 5 waitlists. I applied early and 2 were pre-december and 3 were post-decemember. I waited and waited (hence my profile pic) but eventually I did not get off the waitlist and had to reapply. Luckily I was proactive and looked for post-bacc/masters program to do during my gap year and luckily I found Temple Kornberg's post-bacc which is amazing. I know there are a lot of good success stories getting off waitlists, but I am an example in which I did not get off any of the 5 waitlists, so just giving you my side of the story. I did make sure that I finished my last semesters strong and continued to do community service/shadow and whatnot so that I have something that I improved on if I did reapply, and it worked! PM me if you have any questions or need emotional support. 🙂 Good luck!!!

I'm in the same position as you---wait-listed at two schools and in limbo with the third. I understand the feels. Not only is it frustrating to plan for the future, but it's also just demoralizing. I can't help but feel dread every time my mentors, family, friends, and coworkers ask me how the process is going, and all I can reply with is uncertainty. I hope good news trickles in the next few weeks for the both of us!

I am tired of waiting, waiting, waiting....to hear good news. I am on waitlist at 6/8 schools I interviewed at. I am waiting till the end of this week and if no acceptance, I will just give up.

Don't give up yet, it's not the end! Did the President of our great nation give up? No. He asserted his alpha dominance by pulling people closer to him while giving a handshake.

Wow are you me? Also 3 waitlists and getting pretty anxious... every day I wake up and instantly look at my phone to see any missed calls or emails... -_-. I've sent letters of intent but honestly have no idea if they matter and one school has never responded to any emails. Just started the application for the 1-year medical science master's at my school. I figure if I don't get in off the waitlist I'll just reapply next year after the master's since I'll have new grades and my application wouldn't be very different this year from last especially since they've gotten the AU at this point. Your DAT is great but your GPA is around what mine is so I think a master's is worth looking into..

Awesome will and determination!

Hey it's your first cycle and you did well! Lots of people get 0 interviews first cycle trying. Gotta persist!

That's a lot of schools to interview at. I'm sure you're just venting and won't give up. If you do give up after trying once, well then at least you tried and made a decision that it was enough. No shame in that.

Lol yup! I've said the same thing. He tried 6 times!

Did you end up getting WL at UF?
