I had an interview at NYU in the end of January and got waitlisted..

Is there anyone who got waitlisted in dec and got out of the waitlist?

No it is not.
Just have a better chance of getting off in April.

While it may not be impossible, I think its unlikely. I have no insight into admissions but as long as NYU is still interviewing and handing out acceptances each week, I would suspect there would be no major wait list movement until that is completed. Until then, if you really wish to attend NYU, I would demonstrate interest until then by calling/emailing. I interviewed back in September, was waitlisted on Dec. 2, and accepted off of the waitlist today. PM me if you have any questions. GL!
