Waitlist?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They hate my potatoes , ok thats was bad swing and a miss 😴, but really from what I hear is they accept the perfect students then they pool everyone else and go over their profiles and chose from the pool.

I want to know too...I also want to know what are some reasons people get off the wait list and then accepted? I am currently High Alt for Touro, Active Consid for USC, and hold for both UOP and Western...
Does anyone know?

hace you finished your prerequisite yet. Mayb they are waiting for your updated transcripts.
Good luck.

From what I have heard, if you are waitlisted and then accepted, it was most likely because a student that was accepted declined the offer so depending on where you are on the waitlist, you can still have a chance. It just stinks because they can't tell you what number you are on the waitlist but good luck to you!

True for the most part... they can waitlist you way before they fill up the roster. The school generally has a good idea what the average PCAT and GPA of incoming students will be like and want a chance to interview all students, see which ones are going to pay their deposits or transfer out, and then make some selections from their waitlists.

what i want to know is why do people get put on High vs Med vs Low for waitlist.
'
esp touro!

i thought it has to do with one of them being full because I interviewed late but then people who interview after were put on High.

It depends on the school. Some schools have a ranked waitlist and they pull people off the list from high to low. Other schools will completely re-evaluate waitlisted your application. I can't remember what school it was... I think it was Midwestern that said if you're waitlisted they will re-evaluate your application from the beginning with those they just interviewed the next time the adcom meets to review.
