I applied to Midwestern University-Glendale. I did not hear anything if I got in or not, so on Monday I emailed admissions and told them I have not received any word from them. They emailed me back and said I was on the waitlist. My question for you all is it standard to be put on waitlist without ever going to the interview? If I get off waitlist would they then call me for an interview?

Can I just say how extremely unimpressed I was with Midwestern's notification process? I applied in October and didn't hear anything from them until I emailed them last week and asked about the status. They replied the next day with a stock email: "dear applicant, you may have heard that this years interview cycle has concluded and we won't be interviewing any more applicants."

Lets be honest, I knew what their answer would be, considering we are already in May and I hadn't heard a peep... But were they planning on notifying me at all? Would I have heard anything from them if I didn't first contact them myself? Seems like for the amount of time and money I spent to apply to their school, the very least they could have done was send me an email! And maybe even use my name!

Anyway, the moral of the story is, congrats, otismypassion on at least getting wait listed for n interview! But has anyone else had a hard time with Midwestern?

Yes I am not impressed with them at least emailing people on their status. Did you email admissions? My email that I received back was not a stock email response. I am not sure I believe that I am waitlisted because it was not a "official response" and because of the reply that you got stating they are done interviewing. I never had an interview...so who knows at this point.
