Hello everybody, I have been waitlisted at four schools so far in this cycle (Florida (UF), Cincinnati, Temple, and Florida Atlantic University) after having a total of 9 Interviews (1A, 4W, 0R).

I really thought my interviews have been going very well as I received an acceptance earlier in the cycle at Wayne State University. I am incredibly thankful for the acceptance, but it is not my first choice among these schools I have interviewed with. My stats are a 516 MCAT and 3.68cGPA/sGPA.

Is this normal? am I doing something wrong? is my relatively low GPA holding me back?

It sounds like you are having a successful year and you could definitely still hear good news from your other interviews.
In the meantime, take a look at the great residency match list from Wayne State:
Wayne State Match list 2024

You got interviews with a 4.0 grad GPA. I would not worry about your GPA and trust the process regarding your other waitlists. You have the advantage knowing you have a ticket to medical school. Let us know when it's close to March and CYMS becomes available to you.

You aren't doing anything wrong and you have an A. You're going to medical school next year and that's worth celebrating

Ultimately you have an A, which means you'll be a physician. Residency match is almost completely on you anyways, and very much less your MD institution.

Celebrate what you have, and if something you prefer more comes up, you can celebrate that too. At this point, I personally wouldn't worry much about the other places. As Goro always says, until you hear otherwise, assume its an R.
