Hi Everyone,

Just seeing if anyone in this forum got waitlisted for Chapman University. I just received an email stating that I'm on waitlist and wondered who else got a waitlist email today. Frankly, I'm excited as I've been wanting to go to Chapman but not sure what are the likely chances of me getting off their waitlist. Anyone have any insights? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just of out curiosity, did they give you a waitlist number?

No, they did not. The email basically stated that if a space should be available, they would notify me immediately and I would have a limited amount of time to secure a seat. Also, that some students have been taken off waitlist as late as August in past years. Although I'm hopeful, searching the forums here I have not seen any post where someone has been taken off their waitlist at all. 🙁

Small sample size, dude. Don't sweat it. SDN Forums is not a 100% accurate, irrefutable source of information. Take what they said for their word and don't worry just because SDN doesn't prove it.

Chapman is in a prime location so they have applications through the roof. Unfortunately, they are terrible with notifying students. They have a preferred application period although they say it is a 'rolling period' year round. I applied after the 'preferred' timeframe and was sent straight to the waitlist. I spoke directly with the Dean of PT to gather this information (a few years back mind you). Biff is right though the SDN forums aren't 100%, but getting into Chapman off the waitlist will be difficult.

They just sent out the email about decisions. I declined my offer since I got into the program I wanted to. Good luck to everyone else!
