Waitlisted on state school

I got accepted to OOS school but I would LOVE to go to my state school.
I called the school and secretary said the class is not full(?) and cannot tell me how many are in alternate list. and they can call me anytime up to the first day of school.

Like yall say schools know whos holding multiple spots.
Would having an acceptance from OOS will make me less desirable for my state school?

I don't think having an acceptance at an OOS school would have any effect on your ISS's decision. Although if it was one way or the other, it would make you more desirable in IMO. Best of luck to you
