Hi, I just wanted to hear your thoughts on what I should do as a waitlisted applicant and thoughts on timeline of when I should send in my second application for the new cycle.
I have applied 2017-2018 cycle to ten schools and gotten one pre-dec interview at university of Detroit mercy and now I am on the waitlist.
Although their waitlist is still moving, I am in the process of reapplying for the 2018-2019 cycle.
I applied previously with a 18 AA 19TS for my DAT. I know this is quite low for applicants getting accepted nowadays. I am planning on retaking the DAT soon.
My question is, should I send in my updated application without the new DAT scores (fill in the previous test scores) with a note saying I will retake, or is it better to just send in my completed application after I take the new test?
Do they even look at your application without the DAT scores?
thanks!

I think you should do the former, send in an updated application with your old DAT scores and say you'll retake, and schedule a retake for end of July/August or so. Also, you should apply to more than 10 schools. If by chance you do get off the waitlist at UDM, ADEA will refund your primary application fees (you'll have just lost out on your secondary fees + DAT fee). If you do not get off the waitlist, at least your application will have been in and verified, and all schools would be waiting on would be your new DAT scores, which you should study all summer for.

oh wow I did not know about the refund!
thanks for the info, I really appreciate your answer!!

You just made my night with that info about the refund. I'm in the same boat but at UIC and I'm getting my app ready to be submitted.
