I've just been waitlisted to the only school I applied to (University of Colorado)... does anyone know what the chances of getting off the waitlist are? Does everyone get put on the waitlist by default? There is no ranking on the waitlist so I don't even know where I stand.

No, not everyone gets on the waitlist. If you still want to go, you should plan on attending UCHSC summer program. A fair number of the people, that are on the waitlist, that do the summer program will get in.
