Hi folks, I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out here. I'm currently still on waitlists and about to finish up AMCAS '03. I'm contemplating whether or not to submit it now b/c:
1) Reapplicants as needing "significant" improvements in their application.
My additions to my application are a 2 point improvement in the MCAT (1 point each on verbal and physical), 1 year EC of clinical HIV/AIDS research, and completely new PS. My MCAT's were already solid. Does this qualify as significant?
If not, then I will have to apply for AMCAS '04, which means I'll have an extra year to improve my application. In this case...
2) Should I take undergrad upper-div sci classes through an extension program or pursue a master's or continue working for that year given these stats f/ UC: BCPA 3.42, AO 3.66, cum 3.48 (upward trend)?
3) If I am to submit now, how many schools do I designate? I've heard only 1 so I'll save money in case I do get accepted. However, say come end of August, and I don't end up getting in, designating more schools then will result in a late application, right? What is everyone else doing about this matter???
Thanks in advance,
Joe Joe
