Got invited to do Ohio..don't think it matters for UCONN, just that you should show some desire to work in the area..waiting to hear from Drexel and then a few others... and applying to GEMS..keeping fingers crossed!
 
Does anybody know whether you have to retake the MCAT while you are in this program?

Only if your MCAT will expire by the time you are supposed to matriculate into the Medical School.

TJ is right. So for the 2010-2011 post-bac class, if you took the MCAT no earlier than 2007, you will be alright to matriculate into the M.D. class of 2015.
 
well on the secondary it said that interviews will happen mid march..so I am assuming that we should here this week/next. since we have to make plans and all to get there

yeah im not sure about that mid march thing..it seems like its too late for mid march... probably early/mid april at this point.. last cycle the interviews seemed to go out around march 10 for april 21 or so..
 
I read on the website that interviews will be offered by April 1st. So the application is wrong. I hope.

o yeah thats true.. and def the app is wrong because Im sure there would be someone here that gets and interview if they were sent out

Interview invitations were sent out at around March 24 in 2008 and March 11 in 2009.

We should hear by April, but I hope that interview invitations will go out sooner rather than later this year.

Has anyone recently submitted a secondary application (January, February, or March)?

I submitted early February, haven't heard anything. The app says you can call about your status if you haven't heard anything at least one month after submission so I may call at the end of the week. Then again, I sent it via FedEx and it was signed for, so...I dunno.

yeah i submitted around dec 6... seems like a looong time ago now.. i should be get better abt this but i never call anyone in these types of situations because I feel i may risk getting on their nerves and negatively impact my application.. 😳

Just got off the phone with Ms. Dockery so this is HOT off the presses!
The AdCom met on Monday (03/08) and status AND Interview-invite emails are to be sent out starting noon today till end of this week!

Here's the not-so-good news, they only interview about 30 applicants and accept just 10, so I'm dead-scared! :scared:

I would call them anyway just to make sure it got to the right person and was processed for review.
 
By the way... Best wishes to everyone on getting interview invitations. I don't think that I'll begin feeling nervous until someone here posts regarding their interview invitation.

Also, for those of you who still haven't heard from schools for regular admissions, keep your hopes high. I finally received my first interview invitation ever (after submitting 20+ applications) for regular admissions at a US News top-40 institution yesterday.
 
would that be 12 eastern or central? lol i live in houston and umm...its not quite 12 yet.. but its almost one est.. i guess ill also not get stressed until people post here about interviews..

I assume she meant Eastern as that's NC/WFUSM time. :laugh:
Be cool ..I haven't received anything either so don't sweat it, I'd say we'll def know what's up by the end of the week.

Same here! I always have this paranoia that schools didn't get my stuff because that's happened to me before with Rosalind Franklin. I sent my app via FedEx and I trust FedEx, but ugh...I can't help but worry. So I guess I'm gonna bite and call tomorrow.

I received a confirmation email after calling Ms. Dockery 1+ months post-submission.
 
Nope, and it's freaking me out! I'm really afraid that they don't even have my app. I called today, but I got Ms. Dockery's voicemail. So then I wrote her an email, but...no response yet. *sigh* 🙁

That's the thing, I don't even know IF they have my complete app because I never received a confirmation email!
(Worry) ..I'm not feeling too good :barf:

I hope it works out for you guys...BUT keep other options open as Wake Forest only accepts 10 students....

BTW...if anyone gets an interview or accepted, can you pls post ur stats n smth about ur app? i'm really curious wat they're lookin for coz i thought i was pretty competitive....

I thought I did too but with all this worrying I realized that I never really got it out off her that she (actually) had my app.
..I gave her my name, she rooted around and then told me exactly what I had posted earlier about the invites going out.
I didn't know what to take from that. 😕
 
I'm sure she would have told u right then and there if your application wasn't complete. So you should be fine

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Between OSU and Wake Forest, I would definitely give preference to WF...but since they only take 10 students, you shud keep OSU open...call them and try to reschedule as early as possible....

I sent in my app. in Dec, around the 15th....anyways....i'm just curious about ur stats so pls post or pm me if you want....

Thank u.. well.. I called osu they said there r no openings on the 14th.. n that she would call me if something opens up.. so I'm just stuck in limbo at the moment.. 3 people have not confirmed for the 14th so she said anything can happen...
 
I got an invite!!! But I also have the same problem with a double booking with medpath!! Congrats to everyone!!

Interview Invite!!!

They give us till the 31st to decide whether we want to take the interview, so maybe they won't reject everybody. They probably have to make sure that they end up interviewing 30 people, and as people get accepted, they might be able to ask more people.
